Goodbye Cigarettes, This will be the first time in 7 years that I have taken control instead of you. I never thought the first inhale I took would turn into years of wasted time, money, frustration, embarrassment, sickness, and ultimately an unhealthy life. My family hates you, the environment hates you, children hate you, my career hates you, my body hates you and most of all I hate you, and never needed you in my life.

In the recent weeks I have been preparing to rid myself of cigarettes, I have realized my mind is debating with my heart. Coming up with ridiculous excuses and rerunning scenarios which I will need and use you. I will not. I know with time and willpower, I can kill your entire existence within me.

This is the day I say goodbye to you (cigarettes) and the evil dissolution of comfort and necessity. I will no longer be controlled by cigarettes. Goodbye, you won't be missed.
